| | Dr. Theo Lippeveld, MD, MPH, DTMPH, is the vice-president of the International Division of John Snow Inc, a Boston (USA) based public health organization focusing on underserved populations. He is a public health physician with more than thirty years of experience in primary health care (including maternal and child health and HIV/AIDS), health policy analysis, health planning, health services management, and health information system design in developing countries. Dr. Lippeveld has performed extensive research and work in countries around the world including Cameroon, Chad, Algeria, Morocco, India, Pakistan, and a number of other countries throughout Africa, Asia, and Latin America. He is a published author and leader in the field of health information systems and was visiting lecturer at the Harvard School of Public Health. He is a member of the Network Towards Unity for Health and on the editorial board of Education for Health. Dr. Lippeveld has an MD from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium; DTMPH from Prins Leopold Institute for Tropical Medicine, Belgium; and an MPH from Harvard School of Public Health.
